Exciting that you are expanding your audience. There aren’t many secrets to getting a social media following. You have an account or two, but should also have IG, FB, and maybe TikTok depending on your audience? Here’s the shortcut: Find out which channels are used most by the companies you admire and follow. Start there!

Next, you’re going to need to populate the channels. Here are the three easy ways to think of starting out in building a social media program. – Personality- Product- Persistence

Personality is really just being who you are. But it’s also about letting your beliefs take center stage. Your opinions will help you find like-minded people. They also allow you to find people on social networks and reach out to them. What do you believe in as people and as a group? What are the keywords that describe those concepts the best? From there we can see if people have those keywords in their bio–and if so you can reach out to them.

Product is really just the songs you have. But it’s also the way you package it, including any videos you make, art that you provide, etc. It’s also about finding the people you admire who create similar art. These people might be influencers with a larger audience who get what you do and want to help share. Identify those people and study their audiences and reach out to those people–and their audiences.

Persistence is really just keeping at it. Set a schedule of different things you are doing to promote the work you have. This needs to be more than just a radio show appearance. It’s the effort required to showcase your personality and product and reach out to audiences.
Have a look and poke around a little as suggested here and let me know what you think. We can evolve from there!
